I have fished this in the keys for tarpon off the docks. If the fish are feeding you will get them on most of the popular lures, but the hogy really puts out an inured fish vibe that the tarpon have to hit. I have fished it when all the conditions are wrong and have caught fish. I have had trouble keeping them hooked, but that is tarpon fishing. The hits are extremely exciting on the hogy, so hold on and don't get skeeered!

I bought this lure after seeing it in action on a TV show. I was a bit skeptical, but I figured I'd give it a try. I took it down to Florida Bay and had a buddy use it. On his first sight cast to a tarpon,the tarpon viciously nailed it. It was the most incredible strike I have ever seen by a tarpon and I have caught many tarpon.

We proceeded to keep using it throughout the day to have more tarpon and snook inhale it. We were using the white pre-rigged with double j hooks. The bait was a bit too big for the redfish as they would bite the tail off, but for Tarpon it was candy.
