We like the Grafighter series from Calstar for it's lightweight features. Even for big game fish, light tackle can be a lot more fun and sometimes even a more effective way to get the rod to really work to bring in your fish.

I have a few of these for yellowfin tuna fishing paired with avet and accurate reels. Extremely lightweight but a ton of backbone which is great. I also use an 8 footer... The only thing I don't like is the standard color wrap. I would prefer to have a few different wrap colors to choose from without a siginficant customization fee. Otherwise these rods are all kinds of awesome.

I got my first calstar grafigher with an avet jx from Charkbait online. This rod and reel combo is impressive and light. I can whoop tuna and also cast baits effectively. The rod has enough backbone to tire out the tuna but yet light enough for you to enjoy the fight without feeling like you are horsing the fish in. I also have an 8 foot grafighter that I use from the beach when I am in Florida for tarpon. I simply take off my avet from my shorter rod and use it on this rod... It works out very well and I am sure this rod will outlast my reels for years to come!
