The Facts: The Sage 3000 Series fly reels are machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and is custom anodized to resist the corrosive effects of saltwater. The D models feature a sealed graphite and stainless steel disc drag system (with a numbered, positive-click adjustment knob) and the standard models have a click adjust drag system and a rim control design that allows you to apply additional pressure with your palm if needed.
