the diawa theory is one of the best reels for the money, 2005-03-30

i haved used the theory 2000 for walleye in a river and i am imprest. One thing about the lower end models of diawa i do not like is the thumb handle, their is some play between the handle and the thumb lever but other than that it is a true performer for the money.i would recomend this reel over a shimono stradic .if you compare the two reels part by part diawa makes a better reel for the money. although the stradic is a smooth reel their is too many plastic parts that will wear after time . just taking off the drag caps and comparing them will speak for it self
