Shimano Crucial Rods Review
The Facts: The light rods by Shimano are available in both casting and spinning. The rods feature powerful IM9 graphite that is both light and responsive. The guides are Fuji Alconite which are stronger than most ceramic guides on the market to withstand however you will use the rod.

My Favorite Snook and Redfish Rod, 2010-05-25

I bought this rod after handling it at a local tackle shop. The rod was extremely light and perfect length to pair up with my Shimano Stratic Spinning Reel. I have been using it for about 2 years now with no problems. The rod may be a bit too light to get good hook sets when fishing lures on bigger fish, but the rod I have is rated to handle smaller fish anyhow. I plan to move over to quantum reels for this rod in the future, but for now I love this setup for beach fishing, sight fishing to reds, and more light tackle fun!
